The town gave the nod to residents who enrich the community
The Town of Bracebridge recently celebrated local heroes at the Community Recognition Awards on October 18 at the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre.
Nine residents were honoured for their contributions to the town, including Sharon Davis as Senior of the Year, John De Koning for Good Citizenship, and Jan Olsson for Outstanding Volunteer Achievement. The Bracebridge Horticultural Society received the Mayor’s Award of Excellence.
In sports, Jacqueline Hanna was named Community Coach of the Year, and Sydney Freeman took home the Jim Quigley Memorial Athlete of the Year Award.
