MPP Graydon Smith announced the funding for projects in Muskoka, Parry Sound, South River and Shawanaga First Nation
On Friday, the Ontario government announced a major funding boost for water infrastructure across the Parry Sound–Muskoka region.
MPP Graydon Smith says more than $26 million through the Municipal Housing Infrastructure Program will go to projects in Shawanaga First Nation, the District of Muskoka, the Parry Sound and South River.
Upgrades include backup power for water systems, rehabilitation of treatment plants, and efficiency improvements to support growth and protect residents during extreme weather.
Officials say this investment is part of Ontario’s wider multi-billion-dollar infrastructure plan to modernize communities and ensure safe, reliable drinking water for the future.
