The project will add about 3,000 sq. ft. to the library and community centre
Work is now underway on a major community project in the Township of Lake of Bays. Officials have broken ground on the long-awaited Dwight Library Expansion and Community Centre Upgrades.
The project will add about 3,000 square feet to the existing building, with new accessible washrooms, an upgraded kitchen, improved library space, and a multipurpose community room. The site will also feature a redesigned parking lot with EV charging stations.
Construction will roll out in four phases, with library services temporarily relocated to the community centre during the work.
