Community Centre set to close

Repair or invest in a brand-new facility

Trout Creek’s Community Centre is set to close after this hockey season due to serious structural issues. Engineers say temporary fixes kept it open this year, but the building is at the end of its lifespan.

The community now faces a choice—spend millions on costly repairs or invest in a brand-new facility.

As discussions continue, Trout Creek is also in the running for the Kraft Hockeyville competition, which could bring in funding to help shape the arena’s future.
