A public meeting will be held in the coming weeks
Magnetawan is moving forward with major changes to its short-term rental bylaw. Council plans to remove the “three-week rule” that let family or friends use properties without a license, and is expected to scrap the seven-day minimum rental period in the off-season, allowing for shorter stays.
The demerit point system is also set to be removed, with fines remaining as the main enforcement tool.
A special public meeting will be held in the coming weeks to finalize the updated bylaw.
