Bracebridge OPP are asking for the public’s help after two thefts at a local community centre that investigators believe may be connected.
Police say on January 5th and again on January 16th, an unknown man entered a locker room at a facility that houses the Bracebridge Sportsplex and BMLSS, and stole wallets from patrons’ belongings during the late morning hours.
In both cases, the stolen bank cards were used shortly afterward at the Walmart on Depot Drive. Police say the suspect later returned the wallets and personal items to the victims’ banks, but without the cards.
