Simcoe Muskoka Family Connexions is hoping to raise $40K to help kids go to camp
Simcoe Muskoka Family Connexions is seeking donations to help local children attend summer camp programs this year.
The agency says it aims to raise at least $40,000 so kids facing financial or personal challenges can participate in day camps, specialty programs, and overnight camps across the region.
Last year, more than 100 children were supported, and officials expect demand to grow this summer. Camp costs range from about $55 for a day program to more than $1,000 for overnight experiences.
Organizers say the program provides children with opportunities for learning, community connection, and personal development that they may not otherwise have access to.
