44 new rental units open in Bracebridge

Wednesday, 17 June 2026 09:57

The units are tailored to seniors and people living with disabilities

The District of Muskoka has officially opened a new affordable housing development in Bracebridge, adding 44 rental units for seniors and people living with disabilities.

The four-storey building at 100 Pine Street includes studio and one-bedroom apartments for residents on community housing waitlists and those experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

The development features 14 barrier-free units, accessible design throughout, and energy-efficient building systems.

District Chair Jeff Lehman says the project responds to Muskoka's growing need for safe and affordable housing. Funding came from federal, provincial and municipal partners and marks one of the first major projects completed under the District's Big Move on Housing strategy.
