Senior Climatologist Dave Philips says that temps are expected to return to normal with a milder fall and winter
Summer may have gotten off to a slow start, but Environment Canada says warmer weather is still on the way.
Senior climatologist Dave Phillips says despite cooler temperatures and above-average rainfall in June, seasonal temperatures are expected to return to normal. However, he says a developing El Nino weather pattern could have a bigger impact later this year.
Phillips says the stronger-than-usual El Nino could lead to a milder and wetter winter, similar to conditions seen in 2023 and 2024.
