Muskoka Lakes to Peterborough still dealing with power outages
Thousands of homes and businesses in the Muskoka and Orillia areas are still without power more than a week after a major ice storm hit central Ontario.
The March 30 storm knocked out electricity to over a million customers, and ongoing outages remain a problem—from Muskoka Lake to Peterborough.
Hydro One says more than 4,800 workers are on the ground, dealing with over 2,300 broken poles.
Improved weather this week is expected to speed up the work.
