A man made threats to a staff worker over bike lanes in Toronto
Graydon Smith’s Bracebridge constituency office has been temporarily closed after a staff member was allegedly threatened by a visitor upset over the provincial government’s bike lane policy in Toronto.
Smith says the constituent made threatening remarks to a staff member who was working alone, including telling her she was going to die because of climate change.
The Ontario Provincial Police have been notified and a report has been filed. The office hopes to reopen tomorrow.
The statement says political disagreement is part of democracy, but threats and intimidation against staff are unacceptable.
