Construction delays have created dangerous conditions at the school
Students at Parry Sound’s new high school will be starting the new school year online. The Near North District School Board says the move to remote learning affects only Grades 9 through 12, while younger students will be placed at McDougall and Nobel Public Schools.
The board says construction delays at the new JK-to-12 school left too many items unresolved to safely open.
Parry Sound Muskoka MPP Graydon Smith is blasting the board, calling the delays and lack of communication unacceptable. He’s urging the province to launch a governance review and demanding clear timelines and accountability.
