The wildfire risk across Muskoka has eased after recent weather conditions, and fire officials have lowered the region's Fire Danger Rating to MODERATE, effective today.
Small campfires are once again permitted in most rural areas, but residents are reminded that no daytime burning is allowed. Anyone having an outdoor fire must keep it attended at all times and have water and tools nearby to put it out if needed.
