The Ontario SPCA is caring for 650 animals at its facilities
The Ontario SPCA’s Muskoka Animal Centre is holding special Fall Adoption Days this week as the organization deals with a record number of animals in its care.
The centre will reduce adoption fees by 15 per cent for adult cats, dogs and rabbits this Friday and Saturday.
The Ontario SPCA is caring for more than 650 animals across its 13 centres, the highest number in five years. The increase follows animals coming into care after Northern Ontario wildfires, along with more families looking to re-home pets.
Adopted dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before going to their new homes.
