Officials stress its a planned exercise, not an emergency
The Township of Muskoka Lakes Fire Department will be running a surface water rescue training course this weekend at Windsor Park in Bala.
The training, part of a Surface Water Operations & Technician program, takes place Friday evening, all day Saturday, and Sunday morning.
Residents may notice fire crews using boats and rescue gear, but officials stress this is a planned exercise, not an emergency.
The course, delivered through the Ontario Fire College, helps strengthen the region’s readiness for water rescue operations.
