An information session will take place November 10th
The Muskoka Lakes Fire Department is looking for new volunteer firefighters for its 2026 recruit class.
Applications are now open, and an information session will take place November 10 at Fire Station 6 in Port Carling.
Fire Chief Ryan Murrell says volunteers are the heart of the service and essential to keeping the community safe. Mayor Peter Kelley adds that joining the department is a chance to work alongside neighbours and friends to protect Muskoka Lakes.
Applicants accepted into the 10-week training program will receive classroom and hands-on instruction, leading to provincial certification.
Those wishing to join the 2026 class should apply by January 11. Details are available at lakeofmuskoka.ca.
