Police located the suspect after he fled the scene
A Brampton man is facing charges following a weapons-related incident in Gravenhurst.
Officers were called Monday evening around 7:10 to a home on First Street South after reports a man attempted to enter a unit while brandishing a weapon.
Police say the residence was not randomly targeted. The suspect fled the area in a vehicle and was later located travelling southbound on Highway 11.
Officers stopped the vehicle in Orillia and took the man into custody without further incident.
Twenty-nine-year-old Richlue Vincent of Brampton has been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of property obtained by crime.
He was scheduled to appear in court in Bracebridge for a bail hearing on March 31.
