Everyone is being asked to mask up when interacting with patients at MAHC hospitals
Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare has updated its masking rules.
As of December 5, staff, patients and visitors must wear a surgical mask when interacting with others or entering a patient’s room or care space. MAHC says masking helps protect vulnerable patients, safeguard staff and maintain safe hospital operations during respiratory virus season.
The hospital network also urges people to continue hand washing, self-screening for symptoms and staying home when sick. Surgical masks are available at hospital entrances and in clinical areas.
