Officers are taking part in snow vehicle training
Police say that residents across the region may notice more police activity on local snowmobile trails over the next few weeks.
OPP officers are taking part in annual snow vehicle training, which runs through January and into February. The training includes snowmobile handling, trail patrol techniques and scenario-based exercises to prepare officers for winter operations.
Police say the training is planned with public safety in mind and should not disrupt trail access.
