Inspector Jeff Dixon takes over the position, upgraded from Staff Sergeant to Inspector
The Huntsville OPP has a new detachment commander as the force adjusts to growing demands in the region.
Provincial police say Inspector Jeff Dixon is taking over the role, which has been upgraded from staff sergeant to inspector to reflect rising staffing levels and community growth.
Dixon joined the OPP in 2003 and most recently served as Central Region Crime Manager and commander of the Orillia detachment.
Police say his experience in frontline operations and leadership will help guide Huntsville officers as the community continues to expand.
