Huntsville nixes application for 5 food trucks

Friday, 13 June 2025 07:53

The town limit is 2 food trucks per property

Huntsville’s Planning Council has turned down a proposal to allow 5 food trucks at 7 John Street beside Boston Pizza.

At Tuesday’s meeting, councillors unanimously rejected the application, citing concerns over traffic, parking, and the impact on nearby year-round businesses like Boston Pizza.

The plan would’ve allowed food trucks, a beverage stand, and portable washrooms on the riverside lot, but needed several bylaw exemptions.

The mayor and councillors said the request raised too many red flags and went against the town’s limit of two food trucks per property.
