Huntsville and Lake of Bays say that restrictions start March 9
The Town of Huntsville is preparing to implement spring half-load restrictions.
Beginning March 9, weight limits will take effect as the seasonal thaw makes municipal roads more vulnerable to damage from heavy vehicles. The restrictions typically remain in place until late May, depending on weather and road conditions.
The Township of Lake of Bays has also confirmed it will move ahead with similar measures, and other Muskoka municipalities are expected to follow in the coming days.
Drivers and commercial operators are being reminded to plan accordingly.
