Muskoka, Severn, French, Gull and Magnetawan systems are all affected
The Ministry of Natural Resources says the Flood Warning is in effect across the Bracebridge–Minden–Parry Sound District has been extended until May 6th, covering large parts of Muskoka, Parry Sound and Haliburton.
Officials say all local watersheds are affected, including the Muskoka, Severn, French, Gull and Magnetawan systems, with the highest concern areas including Lake Muskoka, Lake Rosseau, Lake Joseph, the Moon River system and parts of the Gull River near Minden.
Water levels remain elevated in many areas, with some approaching conditions last seen in 2019. The ministry says additional rainfall could worsen impacts in already vulnerable locations.
Residents in flood-prone areas are being urged to protect property, avoid fast-moving water and use caution around roads, shorelines and forest access routes, which may be washed out or impassable.
