Humidex values will soar into the 40's for the next few days
Environment Canada has issued a severe heat warning for Muskoka and East Parry Sound starting today. We are looking at a prolonged stretch of dangerous humidity, with daytime highs soaring up to 37 degrees and overnight lows offering zero relief.
Humidex values will make it feel as high as 45 through Thursday. Officials warn that air quality is also expected to deteriorate into the high-risk category.
Residents are urged to stay hydrated, cancel strenuous outdoor plans, and check in on vulnerable neighbors.
