The driver left the scene after the collision
Bracebridge OPP have laid multiple charges after a vehicle struck construction equipment in Gravenhurst and left the scene.
Police say the incident happened just before 7 p.m. last Thursday. Officers later found the vehicle nearby and arrested the driver, 69-year-old Herbert Peleikis of Gravenhurst.
He’s charged with impaired driving, driving while prohibited, being over the legal limit, and failing to stop after an accident. Peleikis is scheduled to appear in Bracebridge court on December 2nd.
