The programs help seniors connect with the community
The District of Muskoka is marking National Seniors Day this week by rolling out new fall programs through its WISE Mobile Active Living Centre. The goal is to give older adults more ways to connect, learn, and stay active.
Two new initiatives are being added: WISE Without Walls, a free weekly phone-based program for those unable to attend in person, and the Culture and Cuisine Project, which highlights cultural diversity and local food.
Organizers say the programs are designed to keep older adults engaged and part of the community. All activities are free and open to residents 55 and over.
