Crews continue with long term recovery
The District of Muskoka has officially lifted the State of Emergency declared after the late March ice storm.
As of today, officials say they’re shifting from emergency response to long-term recovery. Most essential services have been restored, and immediate risks are now under control.
District Chair Jeff Lehman thanked the province, hydro crews, volunteers, and local residents for stepping up during a tough winter. He says Muskoka’s strength and compassion were on full display.
Clean-up efforts will continue, and residents needing extra support can contact icestorm@muskoka.on.ca.
