The window for applications from 2 funding streams closes August 31st
The District of Muskoka is launching a new program to help local lake groups protect water quality across the region.
The Watershed Resilience Action Program — or WRAP — opens for applications June first and will fund stewardship and environmental projects led by lake associations and community groups.
The program includes two funding streams supporting projects like shoreline restoration, invasive species management, lake planning and community monitoring programs.
District officials say the program responds to growing public demand for more action to protect Muskoka’s lakes and watersheds. Applications close August 31st.
