It's all part of the Bracebridge 150 celebrations
Bracebridge has a new story to tell — literally — with the unveiling of Lucky the Maple Key on the Storybook Trail at Woodchester.
Mayor Rick Maloney and town councillors launched the new feature on July 15 as part of the Bracebridge 150 legacy project. Written by local author Sue Kelly and illustrated by Ronnie Szostak, the story follows a maple key learning about life in the forest.
Alongside the story panels, a hand-carved wooden bear by Precision Carvings has also been installed, and the town is now inviting residents to help name it. The winner will receive a $150 gift card to the Bracebridge 150 store. Entries are open at EngageBracebridge.ca until August 25.
