The inspections will assess aging and malfunctioning systems
The Town of Bracebridge is inspecting private septic systems this summer as part of its Sewage System Maintenance Program.
From May through August, Town staff will visit properties to assess aging or malfunctioning systems and help prevent environmental risks to local lakes and rivers.
Homeowners will be notified by mail in advance and don’t need to be present during inspections.
The goal is to promote proper septic maintenance and protect water quality.
