One driver fled the scene leaving injured occupants in the vehicle
Bracebridge OPP have charged two drivers with impaired driving following separate crashes Sunday in Muskoka Lakes Township.
Police say officers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 141 around 3:30 Sunday morning. The driver was not injured and was later charged with impaired operation.
Later that night, police responded to a crash on Clear Lake Road. The vehicle was found heavily damaged in the woods, with two occupants suffering minor injuries.
The driver was located with help from the OPP K-9 Unit and Emergency Response Team and charged with impaired operation, driving over 80, and failing to stop after an accident.
Both drivers are scheduled to appear in Bracebridge court in October.
