Bracebridge OPP charged three more drivers with impaired driving as May came to a close, bringing the month's total to 20 — nearly double last year’s numbers.
Charges were laid in separate incidents in Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, and Port Carling between Friday night and early Saturday morning.
Then police laid another impaired driving charge on Saturday, bringing the local total this year to 21.
Police say they stopped a vehicle on Muskoka Road 118 in Muskoka Lakes for driving erratically. Officers arrested a 29-year-old from Gravenhurst.
Police say impaired driving remains a serious threat on Muskoka roads. Anyone spotting dangerous driving is urged to call 911.
