Smith says his focus will be on housing, environment and financial pressures
A Bracebridge district councillor is officially entering the race for another term.
Don Smith says he has filed nomination papers with the District Municipality of Muskoka, seeking re-election to both town and district council.
Smith says his focus remains on housing, environmental protection, and managing rising financial pressures, pointing to recent affordable housing projects and youth transitional housing as signs of progress.
He also emphasizes continued work on watershed management and climate change planning as key priorities going forward.
Smith says he aims to keep budgets controlled while supporting more local decision-making and community development across Muskoka.
He says he welcomes feedback as the campaign gets underway.
