The man was charged after thefts involving thousands of dollars in products
OPP have charged a 59-year-old Scarborough man in connection with several thefts from grocery stores in Gravenhurst.
Police say officers were called to a grocery store on Edward Street Tuesday afternoon after staff recognized a suspected shoplifter from previous incidents.
An investigation revealed the same man was linked to multiple thefts dating back to September, involving thousands of dollars in stolen products.
Gyorgy Lakatos is facing four counts of theft under five thousand dollars and six counts of failing to comply with probation.
He was held in custody for scheduled for a bail hearing.
