Liz Danielsen retained the mayor's chair
Liz Danielsen has won reelection as Mayor of Algonquin Highlands, securing 1,260 votes ahead of challenger Mike Lang, who finished with 1,029.
In the council races, Karla MacKay was acclaimed in Ward 1. In Ward 2, Gary Trapp took the seat with 772 votes, while Don Embree won Ward 3 with 439 votes.
Meanwhile, Victoria Hillier-Hutchinson captured the English Public School Board Trustee seat for Trillium Lakelands, receiving 1,215 votes.
