Hydro One hopes to connect 6,400 customers by the end of the week
Hydro One Crews continue working to restore electricity to thousands of Ontarians following last week’s ice storm.
Hydro officials say 4,800 workers, including contractors and 30 utility partners, are on the ground across the province. As of now, over 6,400 residential customers remain without power, along with 10,300 seasonal properties like cottages and trailers.
The utility says favourable weather is helping speed up repairs, and most homes are expected to be reconnected by the end of the week.
Those with electrical damage to their property will need inspections and repairs before power can be restored.
