National Indigenous Peoples Day is an important occasion that honours the history, heritage, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. Our event, scheduled for June 21 at River Mill Park and June 22 at Muskoka Heritage Place and will feature activities including cultural programming, performances, vendors, and family-friendly activities. This celebration creates an opportunity for our community to come together in learning, respect, and recognition.
This event is hosted annually in collaboration with the Huntsville Festival of the Arts, Hope Arises Project Inc, and Huntsville Public Library. This year, we are pleased to announce a new partner, the Downtown Huntsville BIA. The BIA will be hosting its Farmers’ Market in conjunction with our vendor market, adding to the vibrancy and community spirit of the day.
